Carl Petter Nielsen

Carl Petter has always been playing in the mountains, sailing on the seas or imitating birds with his paraglider. He is educated a space physicist and is currently the Station leader on the Norwegian Map Authority station in Ny-Ålesund. His passion for mountains has taken him to the Himalayas and South Africa beside countless places in Norway.

He has been living on Svalbard the last 5 years and has been travelling more around the Archipelago both in winter and summer than most others have. As a dedicated backcountry enthusiast there are few who have been skiing as many peaks on Spitsbergen as Carl Petter has.
