Trygve Snøtun

Trygve Snøtun is a physical geographer with his degree from Bergen. He grew up in Jostedalen and early got a fascination for glaciers and mountains. He has been guiding in several years both on glaciers and on summits in southern Norway.


His fascination for steep outdoor life has brought him to New Zealand, Austria, Switzerland, South Africa and Svalbard in addition to countless places in Norway. He has been working as a professional consultant at Norsk Bremuseum in Fjærland, and is currently freelancing from his base in Bodø. Trygve was part of the Icebound expedition to Northwest Spitsbergen in 2009.
